Preparing for the Shift

Packing for another move, I feel the winds of uncertainty blowing upon me. The harsh north winds have stirred up against my ease and comfort, demanding my obedience instead...taking me to another place of God's choosing. Song of Songs 4:16 is blowing upon me. The north wind of change has moved like a tempest in my life. I long for the cool south wind to awaken a breeze over my garden of communion with Jesus. A refreshing wind; a soothing breeze.

Let the shift begin! In our nation, our states and cities, in our churches and friendships. I am beginning to understand that it is God's way. Never simple, but always with divine purpose.

Daniel 2

20 “Praise be to the name of God forever and ever; wisdom and power are his.

21 He changes times and seasons; he deposes kings and raises others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning.

22 He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him.

23 I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors: You have given me wisdom and power, you have made known to me what we asked of you,  you have made known to us the dream of the king.”

As I pack, I recite the verses of assurance to my soul. God is for me, who can rise against me?

He will never leave me or forsake me! And for another day, I am saved from worry and speculation. I forget that the stack of empty (not yet packed) boxes means leaving loved ones and things behind. The boxes take on another meaning of adventure and excitement!

Are you stuck in a place that is difficult to move on from? What is God calling you to move into?
